The hits keep coming: WI and NJ

MTV turned 25 this month, prompting some members of the PASeries team to exclaim, "I Want my MTV! You know, the one that used to play music!"

As if in response, the New York Times is reporting that Universal is backing a new music service that will provide free music downloads, supported by advertising.

Not to be outdone, the PASeries team has released two more of its wildly popular state alignments: PASeries Mathematics alignments to the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards for Mathematics and to the Wisconsin Mathematics Academic Standards. With the addition of the NJ and WI alignments, PASeries Mathematics is now aligned to 13 states' content standards.

NJ is home to The Stone Pony and no trip to WI would be complete without a visit to the A World of Accordions Museum. The PASeries team, for its part, will keep its own unique brand of hits coming as more state alignments will be added in the weeks and months to come.

More alignments added

The alignments train keeps on rollin': The PASeries team has released more alignments for PASeries Mathematics and PASeries Algebra I. What's new? Georgia and Virginia. Also, Algebra I alginments were added for TX.

PASeries is now aligned to the curriculum standards in eleven states: CA, FL, GA, HI, IL, MS, NY, NC, TN, TX, and VA. More states will be added in the weeks and months to come.

Spreading the word about PASeries

As you may have heard, Vint Cerf found his way to Google last year (OK, I admit it: I just found out) as Chief Internet Evangelist. Vint is known as The Father of the Internet for his early work on building ARPANET and his work at DARPA. A true pioneer, Vint is also working with NASA on the InterPlanetary Internet project which aims to extend networking to space.

Our own PASeries Evangelists have been busy as well at PASeries Awareness Seminars and Webinars. Upcoming Awareness Seminars are to be held in California and Georgia. Dates and locations will be posted in the Events section of the PASeries Website when they are finalized.

Alignments completed for three more states

The PASeries team has been busy this summer aligning items to state standards for Mississippi, New York, and Tennesee. Now complete in time for the new school year, we have also aligned PASeries Algebra I to the Tennessee Curriculum Standards for Mathematics.

PASeries Mathematics items are now aligned in the following states: California, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. The alignment guides can be viewed and downloaded in the State Alignment Guides area of the Resource Library.
