Test Generator

The ExamView® test generator, which is included with the Prosper™ assessment system, includes a full-featured test item bank editor. With this test generation tool, teachers can quickly create custom questions in practically any format or import tests they have already developed. In addition, approximately 2,500 publisher-prepared test item banks accompany a variety of popular textbooks.

Test Generation Based on Learning Standards

Additional information can be stored with each test item. Teachers can easily target the subject, topic, learning standard, textbook objective, item type, or difficulty of a test item and build a test item based on that criteria.

Once a test is created, the answer key as well as the item information is available to the scoring and analysis component of Prosper to enable analysis and reporting of learner performance by standard or objective.

Test Authoring Methods

Easily pull items from a single test item bank or multiple test item banks to generate a test. Create tests in one of four methods:

• Select Items by Viewing - scanning through an item bank, item by item, add questions to a test by clicking on the item and then Select.

• Select Items Randomly - indicate how many questions by question type you would like to add to your assessment.

• Select Items by Criteria - by utilizing information stored with the item, you can select those items which meet your criteria and add all or some of those items to your test.

• Select from List - you can review items from a list with the criteria associated with each item, and then simply click on the X box next to the item.
